Excel Project

This weeks assignment was pretty confusing. I learned how to Excel in high school so I thought I would be okay. But Excel for Macs is pretty different than Excel for PCs. I was unsure what data was supposed to be contained in our graph. I am a visual learner so following the directions from livetext was a little confusing for me. I did watch the video before starting the assignment and did not think I would have a problem but I am still not used to using a Mac yet. I just hope I do not get a lot of points off on this assignment.

PowerPoint

I just completed my PowerPoint presentation on plagiarism. I like to use PowerPoint but this is my first time using it on a Mac. It is a little different then what I was used to but I got the hang of it. I also learned more about plagiarism by doing this project. I did not know there were that many sites dedicated to plagiarism. Turnitin.com seems like a good tool for teachers to prevent plagiarism.

Photo Editing and Web Searching

I liked this weeks assignment. I enjoyed the photo editing because that was something I was not very familiar with. I downloaded the 30 day free trail of Fireworks and the download took almost as long as the photo editing! haha. The web search went well too. I hope my answer was long enough though. I used Google to search for it, I always use Google when I'm looking for something. I hope tomorrow's class is interesting too.

Soo Confused

Last weeks class was interesting and full of new concepts. The homework has given me a little bit of trouble. I think I did everything right with the Word document but the wikispaces is a lot harder. I knew how to write on my wikispace but livetext is still soo confusing that I cannot find out how to put the links in the My Wikis folder. It seems like it different from the last time I made a hyperlink in livetext. I do not see the toolbox that enabled hyperlinks anymore. I hope I do not get a lot of points off for this because I have done all the work but I'm not sure if it is in the right place now. I really want to do well in this class but this homework assignment has been discouraging.

First Class

Our first class was very early but it was interesting. It seems like using livetext is going to be a little confusing but powerpoint and excel don't seem like they will be bad at all. I was actually a little confused on how to even write on my blog, but I figured it out. I'm looking forward to learning new thing about computers because I don't know a lot. The only thing I won't like about the time is how early it is. It is going to be hard to wake the day after Halloween!
